Parklife Clients Advance to the Pitch

Parklife clients TechSavvy DFW and Delighted to Doula advanced from Demo Day to the Pitch, a Shark Tank-style competition for funding from the Social Innovation Accelerator of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.

Courtney Hamilton of TechSavvy DFW and Prinscilla Moore of Delighted to Doula join fellows representing Entryway, Healthy Hip Hop, and Abide Women’s Services at the Pitch, slated for early May.

The Pitch is the culmination of a nine-month journey from boot camp to the grand finale, where competing fellows may earn up to $200,000 in funding for their social impact organizations. Demo Day marked the occasion for program fellows to show the impact of the accelerator on their respective organizations, and five of the 10 fellows advanced to the Pitch.

Parklife is a proud partner of the United Way’s Social Innovation Accelerator. Since 2020, our team has worked with 10 fellows on a variety of projects, including visual brand identities, websites, brand message guides, and strategic communications maps. During the 2023-2024 cycle, Parklife team members delivered a marketing and branding curriculum to the 10 fellows in this year’s class as part of the accelerator’s boot camp.

Since 2020, six of Parklife’s eight clients for Demo Day pitch prep have advanced to the Pitch, and Parklife clients have earned more than $250,000 in United Way funding.

“Working with Social Innovation Accelerator Fellows gives us multiple opportunities to live our mission at Parklife, to amplify entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and social innovators while creating a more inclusive marketplace,” said Brian Castle, the Founder and CEO of Parklife. “We’ve had an incredible ride this year with Prinscilla, Courtney, and Sherri Cook of Wholly Informed Sex Ed, people who are committed to lifting up individuals, families, and the Dallas community with their work. Everyone at Parklife is humbled to be a part of this journey.”
