Client Spotlight: In This House

At Parklife, we believe the most effective digital experiences are rooted in clarity, purpose, and storytelling. Our recent work with In This House, a Texas-based nonprofit focused on expanding access to affordable, mixed-income housing, is a strong reflection of that philosophy.

In This House is dedicated to addressing the “missing middle” in housing—working families like teachers, nurses, and first responders who often earn too much to qualify for assistance but not enough to afford market-rate housing. Their mission is both urgent and deeply human, and they needed a digital presence that could communicate that mission with clarity and conviction.

Building a Stronger Foundation for Storytelling

Our work with In This House centered on a full website revamp, including both new copywriting and a refreshed design direction. The previous site lacked the narrative structure needed to fully express the organization’s impact and vision. We reworked the messaging to better highlight:

  • Who they serve

  • How they operate

  • Why their model of community-focused housing development matters

The result is a clearer, more compelling story that guides visitors through the organization’s mission, values, and ongoing projects in a way that feels intuitive and accessible.

Extending the Brand Beyond the Website

A strong website is only one piece of a cohesive communications ecosystem. To ensure consistency across all touchpoints, we also developed a suite of branded templates and assets, including:

  • Newsletter design templates for ongoing donor and community updates

  • Social media graphics to support awareness and engagement campaigns

  • Email signature templates to maintain brand consistency across internal and external communications

These tools are designed to help In This House communicate more effectively and efficiently, while reinforcing a unified visual identity across platforms.

Designing for Long-term Impact

For nonprofits like In This House, digital communication isn’t just about visibility. It’s about trust, clarity, and sustained engagement. Every design decision and line of copy was made with that in mind, ensuring their message could resonate with donors, partners, and the communities they serve.

With the launch of their new website, In This House now has a stronger foundation for telling their story and scaling their impact.
